The age limit is far too low in my opinion.
Active players should also be excluded unless
at least 55 years old or so.

fyi - this is on hahasport (and probably others) 13:00 UK start

my thoughts for this comp is that "senior" should be over 50 (obviously once I hit that figure I may push it back to 55 :biggrin
AND that active tour members not allowed.
grey area is the "free card" allowed for Steve Davis, etc. - do you call that an active tour member?

The joke is on Williams, what is he doing there, accepting that his pro days are over?

No-one on the main tour should be allowed in the Seniors, it ruins the fun of the comp. Seniors should be about amateurs over 40 and former pros over 40 retired from the main tour.

I had no idea that Rory McLeod was as old as 43.

I don't know how old I thought he was, but I thought it was younger than that.

I would suspect that he doesn't think that, considering that he made it to a PTC final only yesterday.

Though I know what you mean, allowing players that are still in the world's top 16 makes this tournament a bit silly.

I don't see Hendry or Ronnie cueing up for entry forms. Says it all. Current pros entering should be ashamed of themselves. The 3 frame format is a joke as well. WS should either do this tournament properly or can it.
