Selby had a good run of the ball all the way thru the final.Ding was definitely the best player over the two weeks.Selby was very poor but had an easy draw.

He has not seemed happy or his usual self of late. No sure what's been happening in his private life but not everything's hunky dory is my feeling.

Oh no, I have just realised Selby will be World Champion for a WHOLE YEAR.

Just listen to the cheer for Ding when he accepts his runner-up cheque, compared to the one for Selby when he takes the trophy. That's all I'm saying. Very unpopular winner, and for good reason.

Maybe the ones who don't "hate" him just like snooker of all varieties,

but don't feel the need to let everyone know they don't "hate" him ?

Silent majority and all that ?

Well played Mark, and thanks to both him and Ding for making it a very entertaining final . :snooker:

I think he's looking up at his wife/mates when he does that.

Wow! Not even I was expecting that! Virtual silence. I actually feel a bit bad for Selby now.

He isn't entertaining to watch, I agree, but it's up to other players to beat him.

Ding has been the better player for much of the final, probably every session except the first one, but you can't give this guy a six-frame head start.
