Love the photo of Sijun on World Snooker ......he looks about 12 ! How old is he ?

What's up with Gould lately , his game seems to be disappearing . Not up to his usual standard .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

A very poor match so far between him and Higgo.
You should meet him, lovely fella. I predict Matt will break into the top 16 over the next couple of years.

Not saying Selt is a bad lad. Just that on the table, he looked a bit clueless and prone to make avoidable mistake. At least today anyway.

sorry when you said 'very disturbing' I thought you meant generally haha In practice he's frighteningly good, it's a shame it's taken until now for him to make his surge in his career.

A very interesting first day then...

Walden-White was a good match to watch, but it certainly wasn't as high-quality as the breaks suggest. White tried his best to lose that decider, leaving two free balls when he was well over the line and Walden desperately needed those 12 points to stay in the match... He was lucky that Walden missed the easy red in the first place. I wasn't too impressed with that black he "potted" when he snookered himself on the pink either. It meant Walden only needed two snookers on the pink with a decent chance of immediately laying one. White doesn't really have a calm personality, does he?

Unfortunately I overslept, so I didn't have the option of watching Gilbert-Fu, but that looks to have been a good match as well. A single win at the venue usually doesn't mean much these days, but we are already a round or two further than in other televised events, so reaching the last16 is another nice achievement for Gilbert. Another win would see him reach only the third major quarter-final of his career.

The afternoon stuff was alright as well, great response from Higgins after going behind in the match, and a couple of great responses from behind in single frames as well. Not surprised to see Ding struggling at all, he seems to go behind in every match these days. Luckily it's best-of-9 here, so he had a little time to come back. He could have easily lost though, Donaldson had a couple of scoring chances to win the match...

As for the wildcard matches, Yuan beating Gould 5-0 again obviously stands out. I hinted at this possibility in my preview, but I honestly didn't expect another whitewash here. Should be interesting to see him play Selby on TV tomorrow.

Also, I've noticed Lu Ning is missing in the draw now. He was supposed to play Stephen Maguire, but he seems to have been replaced by Yi Chen Xu. I wonder what happened there...

He wasn't very lovely when he abused snooker backer on twitter or when his mate threatened SB with violence. He's shown poor judgement quite a bit in deed and word. Seems addicted to casinos and gambling. What do you make of it all?

He played well and held his game under extreme pressure against Ding and the home crowd.
