      2017 English Open

Elliott Slessor held John Higgins to a decider playing the best I have seen on a TV table. Had chances to take the match but JH experience held firm. good match cracking safeties

hi Deanh, do you currently have any cues for sale?. I contacted you a while back, but sadly health issues mean I can't play as much as I'd like. cheers

I have never sold a cue, so not sure where you get that impression
I have been contacted a few times about my DS cues but they are not for sale.
If it was not for the straightforward-no-nonsense warning from the wife I would be a cue-collector

Only really saw the first frame, and the last few shots when John had already won.

            How did Shaun Murphy do?

Must've been pretty late, I imagine. Higgins was playing on the table to about 10pm.

Quite a good first game on here today, Fu Vs Penfei.

Both made a total clearance and Marco had chances in a few of the other frames.

Think he is the first seed to loose, and costing me my first round accumulater along the way....

4 more good games to come on table one today, Selby, Ding, O'Sullivan and Robertson.

Be interesting to see how Robertson plays, he needs some wins pretty quickly.

Thanks for all the updates, people. For some reason, I can't access World Snooker Live Scores at work.

Is Robbo still outside of the top-16?

                              Sad news:
                              Zhou Yuelong's father passed away.

                              Therefore obviously he withdrew.

2 further good games on the main table.

I didn't see Selby's match going all the way but it did. To fair the kid had a chance in each of the final few frames but he wasn't able ever to finish a frame of in one chance and Selby won't keep giving you chances and not taking his, not all day long anyway.

Ding had a pretty easy match, his opponent got one frame and had a chance in a few others but lacked cue ball control, glad he got a frame though as he potted a few nice falls along the way.

Just waiting for Ronnie now, and it's filling up already, with people holding seats left right and centre.

Still by far the only player to fill venues like this.
