I made enquiries with Jason Ferguson yesterday about Mark Selby's withdraw from The Scottish Open and asked him for the reason Mark withdrew as one player told me he was having neck pain again but he was seen in the audience at The Darts live on SKY TV, so Jason just got back to me and has said that Mark Selby has been issued with a fine for withdrawing from this event.

Earlier in this thread someone said Judd had withdrew to go on a family holiday, he actually withdrew to attend sports personality of the year awards this weekend.

Quite surprised at Selby for that, and to go somewhere where there are TV cameras broadcasting the crowd to the world...:O

Lol. Guess Selby can't win really. If he turns up to everything, he's farming ranking points and if he takes a ptc off, he's a disgrace to the sport. Lol. He said in his blog that he can afford to miss it as he's qualified for the grand final anyway. Look what Ronnie gets away with and then look how everyone reacts when mark misses one crummy ptc. Lol.

Allen v Joyce have got a good turnout. There are 4 people watching them. Allen looks bored out if his head.

Does this mean there are too many Ptc,s?, hence Selby and O'sullivan..

I don't think so, it's just an example of some people not knowing how good they've got it. Maybe he'd be happier stacking shelves or plucking chickens for £6 an hour, 40 hours a week, rather than playing the game he loves for a living.

Why oh why is this event in Ravenscraig or Motherwell.

Other events have been in big cities like Gydnia, Sofia and Antwerp but the Scottish event is in a small town 10 days before xmas.

                        No wonder there's nobody there.

Agree, Allen v Joyce has gone to a last frame decider, dragging in 6 in the crowd now..

Mark Allen out now as well, he'll be pleased no doubt, looked like he had a previous engagement to keep. (Wonder if his Mrs knows her... :-D)
