  • Yu De Lu Nicks the 17th frame to go 9-8 up

    Comment

    • Mark King won 10-9 . . .
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
      I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

      • Mark king wins a decider. 10-9.

Shame that he had to revert to his usual antics of punching the table with his fist or banging it with his cue when he misses , everyone gets frustrated however they take it on the chin, I felt it was unsportsmanlike from him. I felt Yu Delu deserved better respect.

this was Jimmy's best chance for ages, i went to see the evening session of this match, he made too many errors when it mattered, he could have won the first 3 to make it 6-6 but missed easy shots or made a bad decision.

even the last frame that lost him the match he was 66 points ahead with 67 remaining, he played a very tough shot to the middle which he missed then Milkins made 4 reds and blacks to get to 32 and laid a snooker. which eventually won him the match.

why didn't Jimmy just play safe and wait for another opportunity, it was the story of the match. i'm not sure he will get another chance like this, we will have to see.

I'm about to lose control, and I think I like it.

I totally agree but he had some bad run which may have effected his mindset and Milkins had a lot of luck which cost Jimmy a number of frames but overall I thought Jimmy was pretty easy to pick off and one dimensional going for everything as if he did not care. I thought it was poor match play that cost him in the end and why he did not play safe when he ran out of position or got a kick is beyond me - he deserved to loose.

Yes indeed...would be nice to see Marcus come through. Although ROS (depending on which one turns up) is attractive to watch...

More seriously, the only annoying part for me is the fact ROS and Higgo could meet as soon as the quarters. Would be a heck of a match!
Besides that, I like the Welsh battle between Old Williams and Young White!
