He is Stephen Hendry's nephew from his wife's (ex?) family I believe.
      Up the TSF! :snooker:

Hmmm, but he just played a Safety

Has he been involved in helping him?

        Edit: yep to Nephew: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_...nooker_player)

Now 3 nil up ....another shock on the cards maybe .

Kurt Maflin 4 nil up on Zhang Anda , apparently he has been putting in the hours on the practice table .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

Cahill 4 up too, and must be doing something different too.

Cracking result for Sam Baird from 5 - 1 down against Liang Wenbo . I know he was working with Steve Feeney , looks like it might be paying off .

Anda average shot time nearly 35 secs , never thought he was a slow player .

                    • Cahill, what a annoying, jerky player, like a squirrel on speed. IMO

Hmmmm I could harness that idea, but please post who you think is smooth for the yin to my yang.

                        • Didn't see this result coming at all.

It was starting to look like Cahill would be a one-hit wonder after his win over Ding in this event four years ago, he has basically done nothing at all in the game since then, but hopefully this win will be the start of better things to come...

                          • Never saw much in his game previously , dropped off the tour 2 seasons ago but an amazing result . Albeit none too impressive scoring from either player . But looking at the scores looks like young Cahill competed in the scrappy frames .
Will be interesting to see how he plays in the next round against Sunny Akani. And this could be the result that gives him the confidence and hopefully gets him back on the main tour .

                            • snooker.org has him with (a)

Selby missed a few simple pots, but the "nephew" played well imho, with a good action and was more than just a potter. I was shocked by his lack of results from his wiki page, but only 22 for a few weeks.....

                              • Wow. That's the most surprising result I've seen in a long, long time.
